The consortium is made up by social institutions specialized in the field of Down syndrome and sport clubs and universities with a high expertise in the promotion of inclusive sport in several disciplines.
The specific objectives of the project are:
1. Carry out an effective management plan to guarantee that the consortium accomplishes the Project Schedule and achieves all the objectives of the different Work Packages.
2. Conceptualize and define a replicable Inclusive Sport Model based on the real and current situation of sport for people with Down syndrome and other ID in Europe, taking into account the experiences and knowledge acquired in recent years by all the agents involved.
3. Train the different agents involved on how to implement inclusive sports programs, through the creation of specific learning tools and the establishment of networking among NGOs, clubs, people with Down syndrome and their families.
4. Generate real spaces of inclusive sport that allow to putting the model created into practice as well as piloting the results of the training and learning tools.
5. Analyse and evaluate, with a gender perspective, the impact of inclusive sports practices on all the agents involved.
6. Disseminate the products, results and activities of EU JOIN US to all sectors and stakeholders involved and to society in general.
