The second meeting of EU Join Us, a European Union Project developed with reference to individuals with Down syndrome to create a model for inclusive sport in Europe, was hosted by Associazione Italiana Persone Down.

Türkiye Down Syndrome Association, Associazione Italiana Persone Down, Universidad Pontificia Comillas, Capitolina Onlus, Federação Portuguesa de Hóquei, PAIS 21, Kırıkkale University has  attended the second meeting of the project led by DOWN Espana.

The meeting has started with the presentation of all partners on current situation of inclusive sport activities in their countries, continued with Down Espana’s Presentation of European intervention model.

Associazione Italiana Persone Down presented the training courses;  Capitolina presented social inclusion through Rugby and Türkiye Down Syndrome Association presented the project website. After the meeting, Capitolina was visited and Inclusive rugby training was held  with the team.

Next meetings of the EU Join Us project will be organised in different European countries. The success of the project will enable people with Down syndrome to be more involved in sport activities and contribute to the dissemination of an inclusive sport culture.
